I grew up working in small businesses around Charleston — learning firsthand how much time, energy, and care go into keeping them running. That experience shaped how I see my hometown and deepened my commitment to the people who keep it moving.West Virginia has always been home, and spending time outside the state has only made me more passionate about making sure our city stays competitive. I want to help small businesses not just survive, but thrive — by bringing in modern insights and tools like AI that save time, cut costs, and unlock growth.
[MY BACKGROUND]
I’m a rising senior at Denison University working towards a B.A. in Communication, with experience in government, public affairs, and business development. Over the past few summers I spent time in D.C. interning in both Senator Joe Manchin and Congresswoman Carol Miller’s offices, advocating for the needs of West Virginians. Most recently, I supported state government relations at Forbes Tate Partners, a top bipartisan public affairs firm and lobbying firm in D.C. These experiences have shaped my passion for problem solving, local business development, and technology based solutions.
